Why I'm Running

I'm running in memory of Jon Goss, a fraternity brother who recently lost his battle with Chronic Mylegenous Leukemia. Please help me by donating as much as you can. You donation goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for all blood cancers, so this never has to happen again. To read more about Jon and his fight, go to his blog.

My first flat.

I got my first flat tire on a training ride on Sunday. It was so aggravating! So first we swam:

100m warm up
5 x 50m drills
5 x 200m free
3 x 50m drill
50m cool down

Then we got on the bikes and went for a 14 mile ride. I was in the first pack, finally! On the way back at about mile 11 i got a flat, going 27mph while i was trying to catch back up with the front 4 people (I lost them on a hill).  The best part?  it was my back tire. So i stopped, changed it, had the peloton pass me, and ended up coming in 2nd or 3rd to last.  I guess i can take away that i would have come in the top 5 if i didn't get the flat.  Oh well.
