Today was my first OMO (on my own) run. I decided today to go for time instead of distance. Went out for 20 minutes and tried out my new watch and sunglasses, purchased on discount from Sports Basement with an additional 20% off because SB loves Team in Training. So, thank you Sports Basement! The glasses worked well for 98% of the time, there was a few moments they got foggy, but overall it was a pleasant experience. I had to hustle a little at the end to make it back in 20 minutes, but I made it. Just a little over 2 miles equals a 9:05 pace. That needs to get down, but it was fine for having to pace myself and just starting my training.
Now only my chicken stir fry dinner, homemade of course, and then a shower. As always, thank you to those who have donated! Please, if you haven't already, donate as much as you can, you still can be entered in the drawing for the iPod! Just use the button on the right that says DONATE NOW!
GO TEAM!
Why I'm Running
I'm running in memory of Jon Goss, a fraternity brother who recently lost his battle with Chronic Mylegenous Leukemia. Please help me by donating as much as you can. You donation goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for all blood cancers, so this never has to happen again. To read more about Jon and his fight, go to his blog.
