Why I'm Running

I'm running in memory of Jon Goss, a fraternity brother who recently lost his battle with Chronic Mylegenous Leukemia. Please help me by donating as much as you can. You donation goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for all blood cancers, so this never has to happen again. To read more about Jon and his fight, go to his blog.

Day 7 — First Run. First Week.

Week one is done. It was great! Got 4 workouts in. Today was my first team run. It was a captain's run in Golden Gate Park. They split us up into our distances, mine being the olympic distance, which meant we ran for 20 minutes. It started to rain a little, but tapered off quickly. Things i need: better socks, a watch (still), and my better running shoes that i left at Erin's house.

I also wore to many layers today. Which was nice while we were stretching but it got super annoying at about the 15 minute mark. All told though, it was a great first day back in running shoes. And the foam roller has now, once again, become my best friend and my worst enemy.
