Why I'm Running

I'm running in memory of Jon Goss, a fraternity brother who recently lost his battle with Chronic Mylegenous Leukemia. Please help me by donating as much as you can. You donation goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for all blood cancers, so this never has to happen again. To read more about Jon and his fight, go to his blog.

Thursday @ Kezar

So as usual we were at Kezar Stadium on thursday for our coached track practice. After a 10 Minute warm up and some drills we did this:

3 x 800m at Level 3
30" rest between each
1200m at Level 2
2' rest
100m accels 100m recovery for 1600m
1200m Warm Down

An accel is when you start at a jog then accelerate to sprinting speed by the end of the 100m, then jog for 100m, then accel 100m, until you've done 4 laps around the track. I felt much better because i had made sure i had enough calories and hydration before practice. Total time was about 22.5' Then we headed over to Kezar Pub for another fundraiser. Always with the fundraisers as Kezar!

Keep those donations coming, and thank you for those who already have donated!
